Race is about groups of people.
God's value system deals with individuals.
God is pleased when He can relate to individuals who deal
with each other without group prejudice. The promotion of racial distinctions is
designed to keep individuals of differing groups from dealing with each other.
This practice gives the monetary powers of the world a tool they can use to
manipulate society. The centrist manipulators of the world try to align people
into easily controlled groups. Power brokers despise individual liberty. Groups
are easier to control than individual people.
In the Old Testament, the Lord lays down His attitude toward
race. Numbers 5:15 says: “One ordinance shall be both for you of the
congregation, and also for the stranger that sojourneth with you, an ordinance
forever in your generations: as ye are, so shall the stranger be before the
LORD.”
The promise to Abraham is not as narrow as many teach. There are those who believe that the Lord promises to bless those who bless the Jews, or who support Israel or honor Jerusalem in some way. Let's read it as it is: (Genesis 12:3) "I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed." Abraham was the father of both the Arab nations and of the "Children of Israel." If we want to choose a "race" to bless, we need to keep the Lord's word to Abraham in mind.
In Isaiah 56:3 the prophet writes, "Let no foreigner who has bound himself to the Lord say, "The Lord will surely exclude me from his people." In verse seven the Lord proclaims, "My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations."
Deuteronomy 23:7 makes it clear that even groups most at
enmity with Israel are to be respected. It speaks of the despised descendants of
Edom: “But Edomites are your relatives, and you lived as foreigners in the
country of Egypt. Now you must be kind to Edomites and Egyptians.”
The Lord loves people from every tribe and nation. Acts
10:35-36 makes it clear: “But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh
righteousness, is accepted with him. The word which God sent unto the children
of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:)
"I think we've all felt that underneath the various
graces of skin and hair that whoever -- the great power that made us -- made us
for his own pleasure possibly, and that underneath it's basically the same dough
that makes the cake." CCH Pounder on PBS "The Power of an
Illusion" as quoted in the April 21-27, 2003 OnSat Magazine in an article
entitled "The Myth of Race." God did make us for His pleasure, and He
made some of us different from others; but he is not pleased when we refuse to
respect and love people of other groups.
Though racial differences are real, and though intermarriage
between races can cause stress and unhappiness, we believe the Lord Jesus died
to redeem any individual who will trust Him as Savior. Have you given your life
to Him? He is the only Source of genuine fun in life.
