They are wrong, but usually when people communicate with each other and the meaning does not get across the fault is with the "sender." So, let's carefully consider: is the "Trinity" three (woops, careful) in one? Start with "three" and you are in trouble. You could be accused of talking about a certain brand of household lubricant. No, our Heavenly Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are ONE. He manifests Himself in Creation, in nature and in His dealings with man as the One who structured all there is (the Father) as He who relates to mankind in a physical way, still every bit the Father, (the Son), who emptied Himself of all the powers of the Godhead before visiting earth to work out our redemption. Important to us today is the One known as the Third Person of the Trinity, still every bit the Father, (the Holy Spirit), He who offers to allow us to abide in Him. He wants to live in us, making real to us the person of the One who is all in all. Martin Luther said, "Prayer is the breath of the Christian." Take a deep breath and live in vital relationship with our Creator-Redeemer, the One God. -- Richard Palmquist Send email to frontoffice@truthradio.com with questions or comments about this subject. |
